This on-camera class is taught by top working commercial actors (they have totaled well over 500 commercials, so they really know their stuff.) Any questions about the quality of the class?  We encourage you to talk to any agent or casting director in town. They send actors to us all the time, and they respect what we do.

Here are some of the things you will take away from this class:

    • Experience with the actual audition process: You'll work on-camera several times each class doing both prepared and cold readings, and receive plenty of feedback from your instructors.
    • Individual attention: Since we keep this class to a maximum of 8, everyone gets a lot of personal attention. The class includes a 1/2 hour private lesson for personalized work with your instructor.
    • Script analysis skills: We teach you how to make a commercial script some alive.
    • Comfort in front of the camera: How do you stand? How do you hold the script? How do you deal with your partner and the camera at the same time? What is a slate? What do you do with your hands?
    • Practice with many types of commercials: Scene work, narration, one-liners, bite and smiles, handling products, etc.
    • An understanding of your own unique "self": We try to establish where you specifically fit in the commercial world. In which types of roles could you be cast. How to bring this "cast of characters" to the audition process.
    • How to get started: This is our "Intro to the World of Camera Acting" class. It includes our "How Does This Business Really Work?" Seminar. You will learn how to make the first contact with the agents, and all the follow-ups you will need to "Break In". You'll also learn how to market to the casting directors, all about pictures and resumes, how the unions work, etc.

By taking this class you have the opportunity to show the agents that you are serious about pursuing this type of work. It also allows them to be more confident in submitting you, because they know you'll be able to handle yourself in front of the camera. Being a good commercial actor requires many things, a good look, great marketing skills, and lots of talent. This class is a good first step toward acquiring those things and being successful.
