The
Conservatory at Act One is a comprehensive and rigorous two-year
training program, providing actors with a saleable “package,” and a
working knowledge of the industry. This full-time program immerses
students in all facets of the trade, and features a faculty of working
professionals. In keeping with the philosophy of all Act One classes,
The Conservatory is also small, admitting only 14 students each year.
This ensures that students receive individual attention and guidance.
While many advanced studies programs, such as MFA degrees, cost tens of
thousands of dollars, The Conservatory has affordable tuition.
Students also get more direct feedback than at larger, more costly
schools. After completing their second year, students of The
Conservatory graduate with a Certificate, headshots, enhanced resumes,
a monologue repertoire, and a professional network in place--all within
the thriving artistic community of Chicago. |
